Introduction
The
mini-sumo robot consists of 5 major components:
- Parallax Inc.'s BASIC STAMP 1 computer chip programmable in BASIC
using a PC.
- A sensor board
mounted on the top front of the robot.
- Two Futaba 3003 RC servos, available
from hobby stores such as Tower
Hobbies. These are the motors to drive the robot. NOTE: these
are not included with the kit, and must be purchased separately.
- Unibody frame with
front scoop, back panel, and wheels.
- Printed circuit board
that ties all the components together.
Please read through the documentation before beginning this project.
This will give you an idea of how all the pieces go together and
how to make modifications. A basic knowledge of electronics, soldering,
and programming is a good idea to be successful with this project.
